Description

IC 1284 is a  HII region 16' x 15'  Magnitude: 7.70
NGC 6590 is an reflection nebula 4' x 3' Magnitude: 9.40
After imaging NG5068 the night was too good to ignore so I soldiered on, managing a run in HA before clouds allowed me to get some needed rest.
And is if my miracle the next night came good and I got finish the run.
Sagittarius used to be a wonder at the eye piece of the venerable 16" F7 at Crago Observatory on Bowen Mountain. Before light pollution and climate change turned the tables, on good nights it was sea of milk with splodges of inky blank Barnard objects. Sadly no longer possible without a very long drive. Good while it lasted.
